hey i'm wanting to mod my mouse. i was first thinking cyro, then airmouse :D. i changed my mind to do cyro without "cyro" effect or plexi, basically, logo mouse - wanting your opinions before i try this [i put a window in my cheap mouse, little hard with dremel and hard to fit plexi inside unconventional shape, for me]

anyways i was thinking of using this picture

and cutting out the white of the moon, then filling the hole with epoxy, leaving a dragon cut out and clear 'plastic.' after that either adding a different LED or embracing the red that exists [standard microsoft optical mouse - same, i think, as one using on cyro mod]

you can probably see the dragon is a little detailed, and wondering if you guys have tips. i was thinking of dremeling the basic outline and then going in with carving [widdling] knives to add the effect i want. this may be hard, since the plastic isn't as soft as soap . i'm also planning on putting the design in the center, since the mouse is symmetrical.

for the epoxy, does it stick to the tape? what kind of tape should i use?

thanks, agent orange [all tips -in currency form :D or words, appreciated]

btw, wicked sic site!

well i like the picture for a mouse logo and think its would look pretty bad ass when you get it done. But i dont know about the carving the details thing, if you dremel that shape out first, then your gonna be left with some pretty thin pieces of plastic holding that thing in place, and might end up breaking it. You might wanna concider maybe makin the plexi window and maybe paint it on, or print it out, cut out the dragon and sandwhich it between 2 thin sheets of plexi. or you could even dremel out the whole circle, then use the circle to carve the dragon shape, then just glue it in place on top of the plexi window. I think that would probably get the best detail.

Best result would be then, when you fill the hole with epoxy, let it dry atleast a whole day, then remove the tapes, or whatever you used to cover the hole. And then let it be like that another day maybe, without touching it. It should be then a bit harder, then sandpaper it with very fine grid paper, and maybe use some water when you are sanding it. Then it should be smooth :P
