Hi @ all

First i have to say that your site is great but the greatest are the mods you present on your site.

Also I like the new style of your style and i'm glad that know all mods are also explained in english.

Know to my idea of a mod, well first it's not my idea and second i saw it on an other site but maybe it's a new one for you and you like it.

How about to mod the led's of all the CD- and DVD-Roms, the FDD's and all the other stuff. instead of the green one's we could use blue one's.

Hope you like it.

CU

ps: greets from Austria
pps: go ahead with your great site

this is actually a somewhat common mod. Virtual Hideout (an english site) recently had an article on how to do such a thing. The url is http://www.virtual-hideout.net/guides/cdfdd_led_mod/index.shtml

Have you guys even have a problem of the leds on the CD-Drive Mod not being strong enough? Simply too dim? Example Blue lights?

I bet i could soder the negative end to the original led spot, and attach a wire directly into the 5v power for the molex power plug.

What do you think of that? 8)

That might not be a good idea, cause the LED probably shares its power with an other part of the cd-reader and if you increase the power to the LED, the other part will get to much power and perhaps brake/burn/BLOW UP 8O

And if a electrolytic capacitor get to much power (i.e heat) it will BLOW UP...I know because I have been in that position.

Wisdom: never point a hotairgun (think it's called that) at a electrolytic capacitor. :)
