Hi folks!

In the first: Great page here. I'm impressed about the ideas and the final results posted here.
Yesterday i saw the Logitech LCD-Mod, and got the idea to build in a similar LCD Display into my AAOne150.

As you can see here, there's some place on the left side of the Touchpad. On the right side, we got the WLAN-Module.

As i remember the dimensions of the Nokia LCD, it should be possible to place it nicely.

But: The Nokia-LCD has been connected via LPT. There's no LPT-Port here... But: Some unused USB-Ports on the AAOne's Mainboard. Would it be possible to choose this way to get some data to the LCD?

Would be nice if you guys could help me out with some informations :)

Greets, ct

Hi.

Hmm... you need to make or buy a circuit with a microcontroller that sits between the USB port and the screen. Something like this:

4DSystems also makes nice products that combine microcontrollers and small screens. The advantage with these is that as most of their products have a micro-SD slot, you can script animations, still image rotations etc. on the card so you don't need to control the screen directly from the computer. Naturaly you can use the computer to handle everything that gets shown on the screen if you want. :) We wrote an article on how to use them:

They have both OLED and LCD screens available. You should be able to find several online stores that sell these.
