HI i just bought a minifridge and i thought... Why bother water cooling or anything.. when i could just mount the comp in the minifridge..
I'm going to take it outside of the case and mount the mother board to the walls. I'll probably use a mail slot and mount the drives through on the side so you can access them through the wall. i'll run all the cables out a insulated hole in the back.
i'm also installing some LED's instead of the little light that turns on.. and i'm going to instlal an LCD screen from www.crystalfontz.com in the front.. it should be cool.. i'll keep you guys informed. Tell me what you think

Cool idea :D , but its been done before. You might want to search around and see if you can pick up some tips. I think I remember one guy saying he had problems with moisture/condensation especially around the open areas and problems keeping a good seal to let out as minimal amount of cool air as possible. How about doing a project log, so we can watch the progress :) The LCD on the front is a great idea too.

okay will do.. i'll probably keep updates on my website www.metarinka.com i'm not worried about condensation partly cause here in michigan its not that humid.. and water woudln't condense on the warmer comp, but rather on the cooler walls.. i'll probably make a acrylic umbrelle to keep spill and falling pop cans from hitting the comp.. and i'll probably incase all the wires in silicon sealant to keep the cold air in..

If you do that fridge computer, you should cover your motherboard, etc..., from that condensation water... Maybe with few layers of that protective lack (or what ever it's called...), so the water doesn't damage any components...

Just a thought

Thats a good idea. But dont spray with any removable parts on the motherboard. You may want to change ram or cpu sometime in the future. And then you have many small tning like pins and connection that shouldnt be sprayed. And you might wonder what the heat will do to the lack.

This guy stuck his comp in a freezer. OK. There's a little more to it than that. Check it out.
