Is it possible to take a wired keyboard & mouse & make either 1, if not both, wireless?

You could use a wireless adapter to make the peripherals wireless:

Nothing is stopping you from integrating something similar inside a keyboard/mouse itself but as the wireless keyboards/mice are so cheap there is very little point on doing that...

The wireless adapter is a good idea except my keyboard is an old PS2 connection, thanks for the link though.

I'd like to buy a wireless keyboard+mouse setup, but almost all keyboards have a button structure I don't care for (minor things really) & I like the Logitech M510, but it's smaller than the Logitech MX518 I have now & not as comfortable; I'm picky!
