since i almost never use my cd drive on my laptop and i always need more space im thinking about putting a hdd into the cd drives place. im having trouble to find an adapter that make the connection possible (the drive/laptop got one of those slim ide connectors). so far i only found adapters that allow connecting the drive into a stantart ide but i so far i had no luck finding one that allows the other way arround.

edit: ofc im thinking about an 2.5" drive

hmm.... I'm getting confused... so the drive you want to hook up with the laptop has a 44 pin ide connector that these small drives use? And the laptop have that standard connector that is used to hook the CD-drives up? That kind of slot connector, not pins?

OK, THAT IS COOL... All this time I have been using a USB type external power adapter and was even going to suggest one, but this IS FAR BETTER (and faster too I'm sure) than a USB connection.
