ok.... im currently building this ModLab but ive come across a problem. Ive built my own power adapter for it.... its pushing out 18volts. So ive bought all the parts for the mod lab, breadboarded it, and for the 0to 12 volt power, im getting 5 to 12 volts.... im using the 1kohm pot and its still doing that.... any suggestions...?

Try to add for example a 1 Kohm resistor in series with the potentiometer and see if it allows you to get lower voltages. If it works, you could use for example 10 Kohm pot to adjust the voltage. I'll have to check what is the voltage range of my lab.

Ok.... putting the 1Kohm resistor in series with the 1Kohm POT only allows the voltage to be 5 to 6 voltsDC...... by putting the 10Kohm POT in only allows 5 to 12 VoltsDC again.... by putting a 1Kohm resistor in series with the 10Kohm POT will only allow 5 to 11 VoltsDC... so im going to talk to my Electronics teacher to see he can help....... if we figure it out ill post it here

OK.... i just spoke with my shop teacher, for the NPN transistor i used was a 3904 transistor.... so i used your diagram on the BC547 transistor..... so they were backwards

and now it works.... thanks for your great lab!
