ok i'm planning on modding a Microsoft Intelli-Mouse Optical.

i'm planning on putting in a firewheel, a much larger cyro, and possibly something else around the entire mouse...

i can get the acrylic for the cyro, and i have the plexi for the firewheel already cut...
i just need to know what led's to use, i know i can find the 5v to the mouse, i just need to know what else i need for it all...

If you know of a online store where i can get exactly what i need LED's and Resistors (because i dont have any of it here) that would be great.

Im looking at using 4 leds for the cyro (the 4 corners of the mouse basically), it's going to be pretty big. the majority of the back side of the mouse, and i only need one led for the firewheel. so how should i hook them up, if any one can give me instructions on how to do this would be great.

Best place to find those diodes and resistors. Cheap shipping costs too.

10 to 20 times more light than conventional LEDs

 Highest Flux per LED in the world!
 Very long operating life (up to100k hours)
 Available in White, Green, Blue, Royal Blue, Cyan, Red, Red-Orange and Amber
 Lambertian or Batwing distribution pattern
 More Energy Efficient than Incandescent and most Halogen lamps
 Low voltage DC operated
 Cool beam, safe to the touch
 Instant light (less than 100 ns turn-on time)
 Fully dimmable
 No UV
 Superior ESD protection

whatever all that means... i gues it's just a brighter alternative to halogen lights, probably good enough to light up your case with one or two of them. i think i might check them out

well i got my led's in today, i thought i had the wrong resistors for my 5mm leds, 180 ohm, but their the right ones i'm putting them in my molex connctors. and i purchased 47ohm resistors

your calculator really helped out alot as well

the firewheel looks amazing. (i'm going to do a IceWheel for my other mouse)

i realized that i could have made larger firewheel if i would have made a larger hole where the scroll wheel is located, the max size of my scrollwheel could have been 27.5mm instead of 22.5mm, and larger if i made more modifications to the mouse.

Just wanted to say thanks again, i'll post some pics when they get developed
