I wonder how many mcd it is on the led used in metkus firewheel mod.

I have done a wheel myself now and all that´s missing is a led! Just need to know how strong led i need.
I found one that was 8300mcd and one about 3800, wich one is to recommend?! Is 8300 to bright?

I'm not sure about that red led... should be somewhere around 5000-10000mcd. Higher value is better so you should buy that 8300mcd led.

No, not many modders use white leds.
But why not? I think it would be nice to use a white one for this mod. Have´nt bought anyone yet...we´ll se what color it gets.

Anyone got an answer to my first Questions?

Oh! Sorry Japala :)
Forgot that you had answered.
I bought a red 8300mcd led, but also a blue one at 1000 (sadly)

By the way: How much power can you get from the ps/2 contact.
I´ve tried to mail AOpen for support but didn´t find any good adress.
I have a AOpen AK77 Pro motherboard and my mouse takes 15mA...putting a 30mA led in the mouse would´nt be any problem huh, or?

Around 500mA is the max. At least you should be safe if your circuit doesn't use more than 400mA. :)

I was actually thinkin about using a white one in the middle of 2 blue ones and dividing the wheel into 3 parts. I am going to use either aluminum foil, or thin white plastic. Just so long as it is divided into 3 parts. I would like to find a switch that has 3 settings, so I can make it either blues, white, or both. Don't know if they sell ones that would be small enough though...
