hey! the new microsoft optical mouse has a different "inside" than the older one. where can i find the supply for the leds?

I used some kynar wire and slipped it into the cracks in the USB cable connect at the part where it connects to the mouse board. kynar is small enough to fit in there, but you don't have to solder this joint since the other wires will probably provide enough pressure to keep yours connected ^_^

since the chip is somewhat obscured I think this is the best method unless you can find the pinouts somewhere. I used the red and black wires off the mouse but that might have been a mistake :o oh well, it works fine
