I got the microsoft Wheen Mouse Optical to do the cyro mod and when I opened it, I found a nother led near the bottom(where the led would be placed in the mod) it does not seem to have any use. Would it be safe to cut out and replace it with a blue led? I'll try to post a picture.[/img]

yea, but im not sure but i think that that led is only on when the mouse is being moved. Correct me if im wrong though, but I think thats how it is. Either way it would be safe to just warm it up w/ a soldering iron and pull it out then replace it by warming up the old solder and putting a differend color led in. you may hnave to add a little more solder if oyu dindt do a good job, but it should work fine like that.

Thats the trick I used for my Wireless Mouse/keybouard reciever when i changed the leds from green to blue.

I replaced the leds and put in a fan on my old Microsoft Optical mouse. The extra led doesnt do anything but shine out the back of the mouse. When i changed it to blue you couldnt see it throught the back anymore though. That was probally because of the possitioning or something. It will work fine for the Cyro mod though.
