Is there any chance of a detailed diagram of how you wired up the blue LED?
I am very new to modding and although I understand the fundamentals of electronics I would rather a pro show me first before I delve into the world of modding myself.

What sort of capacitor is it?
Where is it soldered to?
What type of LED did you use?

Thanks alot.

Keep up the good work!
The Cryo mouse is the greatest mod of all time!

That capasitor is there inside your mouse. I didn't add it. I added a super bright blue led and 100 ohm resistor with it. I soldered them between that ground point and other end to one of the legs in that capasitor.

You mean which leg in capasitor? Yes, it does matter. If you look the casing of that capasitor you'll notice that on one side there are painted - - - marks going from bottom to top. That indicated the - leg. Just use the other leg to get positive potential.

so its as simple as putting the negative end of the LED to a - leg, and the positive end to a + leg?

:?

I didn't trace the - leg of the capasitor to see where it was connected. It might be possible to use the same capasitor for + and ground (-). That jump wire just offered good support for led to be connected so I didn't have to think where I would glue the led. This is also the reason why I hook my leds to those IC's in my Logomouse mods. By connecting the led to a fixed component, it offers a steady place for the led and I don't have to worry about any additional wires etc.
