I have a Microsoft Optical Wheel Mouse. 1.1
I managed to solder the led on to the middle of the mouse. But for the back of the mouse, I soldered it, but no light...

I know that the THIN BLACK LINE AND RED LINE are the ones i need to use.

How do i solder the led with the resistor on to the cables of the usb??
I have no idea?!
any pictures? suggestions?

Thanks for reading!

are you sure you got the (+) and (-) wires connected correctly? if not the LED will not emit light.

Im sure it is right. i got the (+) and (-) right.

I think the heat of the soldering tool might have overheated it or something. I dont know.

But cant i use the usb cables to draw out power to emit light on the back of my mouse?

You can use the USB cable to draw power from, where else could the mouse be getting it's power? I don't know which wires are for power though.
