Hey this is a cool idea.

I'm using a basic Microsoft mouse with a spinning wheel in the middle. I'm about half way done and it's looking pretty good. But I'm not good with schematics. I've only done a little soldering.

Here's what I know about the mouse and maybe you could tell me what pin to connect the led to or point me to a web site.

The chip has 16 prongs and is marked SPMC01A
The Product ID is of the mouse is 63618-OEM
Thanx in advance

Thanks man. I was pretty sure it's pin 5 but I don't have a multimeter. I'm just going to get a 5v led and hook it to pin 5 and ground if it heats up then I'll desolder.
Peace
