Also would like other boom box tweaks.

I've done some modding to my old Sharp WQ-CO240. I knocked a couple holes int he sides
to get access to the speaker wires. Newer high efficiency speakers in big handmade cabinetes work well with these siimp,er electronics (newest sre the tripath amps.)

So my box is playing the closest it can get to cancert level.

But my FM is gettings a frazzled noise. What is a good replacement antenna that
doesn't go on the roof?

I've used a length of wire to do this to good effect. But those ones that come with
audio equipment made out of twin lead are a PITA.

Plus I don't know if the lead will even reach to where I can get at them.

The reason I haven't taken the shell off is that the screws won't budge and are down inside a recess 6 in. deep.
