OK so I have a small VERY BASIC understanding of LED's and power. But this makes NO SENSE to me. I am including the pix. so that someone MIGHT be able to tell me WHAT THE #^!* is going on and WHY this is working.

The LED's are supposed to UV (Ultra Violet / Blacklight???) They are wired in series. I have (had) no idea of what the Ma draw is so I did search on EBAY and I got everything from 2.4 up to 3.6 so I am trying to stay safe with about 3Vdc. While messing around and really not paying attention I placed a 9Volt battery on them and they WORK ???

I don't understand how 10 LED's can come on when they are all SPLITTING ONLY 9 Volts of battery power???

(I do KINDA think this has something to do with the Ma draw OF THE LED's, but I STILL JUST DON'T GET IT.)

The above picture has no power. There are ten LED's covered with Straws and tape because I am still painting.

The picture below has NO RESISTOR and is powered by one 9 volt battery.

BTW - Sorry about how the images are, I know they were not cut off when i posted them.

Funny and Sad at the same time... It did work though...

I will be posting this entire "costume" sometime soon. The good thing is that is paid for itself and MOST of the stuff I have bought over the past 11 months or so...

Are you sure that this is connected in series?
There is no problem getting 10 leds lit up with 9V but by a parallel connection.

It is really hard to tell with all the wires you have going there.
