So lets start topic where one can ask, if there's some unknown component in schematic, disassembled device , in shelf etc

Aloitetaampa aihe jossa voi kysyä, jos ei tiedä mikä jokin kytkentäkaaviossa, puretussa laitteessa, hyllyssä jne osa on.


I'll start by asking, what is this component? Found it at dad's bin of electronic junk going to be recycled. If I remember right, this is from old washing machine (not from tube radio like i said before).

Minäpä aloitan kysymällä, mikäs tämä osa oikein on? Löysin isän kierrätykseen menossa olevasta elektroniikkaromuämpäristä. Jos oikein muistan, tämä on puretusta pesukoneesta (eikä putkiradiosta, kuten aiemmin sanoin).

On the left, before two inductors is text "MAINS". On the right, between two series caps is ground, witch is connected to case. And in the right side there is text "LOAD". What does this thing do to "MAINS" witch is 230VAC at 50Hz?

Vasemmalla ennen kahta kelaa on teksti "MAINS". Oikealla, kahden sarjassa olevan konkan välissä on maa, joka on kytketty runkoon. Oikeassa reunassa on teksti "LOAD". Mitäs tämä härveli tekee "MAINS":ille, joka siis lienee 230VAC ja 50Hz.

RCL Circuit. Something that produces an oscillating signal -> frequency. Mostly used in radios etc.
