Most all of the green LED's are 2.1 volts. If you plan on changing it to blue, you may either have to wire it directly off the power source, or replace the resistor with the one you need. To figure out what ohm resistor you need, first figure out what the voltage and milliamps the floppy drive is, then subtract how many volts the LED is (most blues are about 4v... the ones I use are 3.7v), then divide it by the mA coming from the power source.

Say you have a 3.7v LED and a 12v/45mA power supply. You would take 12v - 3.7v = 8.3v / .045 = 184 ohm. You would just get as close to 184 ohm as you can. That should be accurate if you run it off of your power supply, but if you did that, the LED would be on all the time. You would have to check how many volts and milliamps are coming from the led output.

I'm getting ready to replace all of my green and other colored LEDs and replace them all with blue ones myself. If you stick around long enough, I'll post what I come up with.

use a multimeter to see how much volt the led takes: put a diskett in the floppy and copy or delete it and measure the volt

I ended up just changing them all to red ones. I didn't want to mess with changing the resistors and voltage around... red looks nice too... anything but green! 8O
