its pretty self explanitory.

supply voltage is 5 volts (red and black wires)

voltage drop across led is reverse voltage minus forward voltage

current usually around 20 mA but that could be different for your led

actually he said hes using the 12v line, so thats yellow and black.

every led has two specific voltages reverse voltage is the highest amount of volts it can handle forward vortage is the amount of volts left after it has passe through the led.

voltage drop = |reverse voltage -- forward voltage|
