I don't speak your language but I'm guessing this thread is about using the USB to power the glowpad. I have made my glowpad to work from the USB and I'm just preparing the pics to be submitted.

Japala: If in case they don't understand what I just said, you can translate it for them if they want. I'll be posting some of my stuff before this week ends. Nice new look of the site BTW.

please email me too the tutorials on making the mouse glowpad powered by the USB......

game_sucker@maxmania.cjb.net

thanx

:) :) ------------
btw; i added some LED's into my mouse..
without using any resistor's.
the cool part is, i used one Super Bright Blue LED and a normal one
both without resistor's
after a few minute's, the yellow LED got real hot(i touched it) while the blue one is still chilling...
but the yellow wasn't as powerfull as the blue one was(of course, duh~)
aight!!
japala, thanx for making this cool site
could you explain how to make the night rider light
i can't seem to get the chip you used....
thanx again

It is no different than taking the power from somewhere else. Just get some old USB device with cord or buy an extension cord for usb. Cut the cable and you will find four wires inside. Usually the black one is for ground and red one for +. Confirm this with a multimeter. Then solder the leds and needed resistors and you are done. From usb you get 5 volts and maximum amount of current you can get is around 500mA but I would recommend going over 400mA.

It seems that you have done something wrong when wiring the glowpad. If you only take power from the usb the computer can't "feel" the usb connection. Check that you haven't used the signal cables.

I already check the cable ... using pin 1 and 4 for power (led) and I cutoff data cable in 2 and 3.

Any help please.

Thank.

try booting up without any usb connected, then try with only the glowpad connected...it might be an other device
