Post subject: Oh where to hook up...

Okay, I just got some new LED's and all the jazz to make another glowpad, but my last one was battery powered, and the batteries were dropping like flies, where can I hook this up to other than what is said in the tutorial? Becuase I dont have the stuff for that, and im too lazy to get it.

2 Blue LED's @ 5.0V each.

One more question :

Since I have 2, 5V LED's, and a 9V powersupply, how many ohms of a resistor do i need? Serial Connection

Okay, cancel all those other questions, I got it all working fine and dandy, I went through an old keyboard cord, and into my mouse port, because I use a USB mouse. Now my question is, I used 50OHM resistors for each LED connected paralelly, if the keyboard port is say, 5V out, does that mean I am taking away from the brightness of the LED"s or should I just leave the resistor there?

If those leds are 5 volt leds you don't need a resistor. You only need to use resistor if your supply voltage is higher than rated value of the leds.

are you sure that a PS2 mouse port only has 5V output?
