Hi,

I am interested in repairing a Logitech G5 mouse where the left and right mouse buttons have stopped working. After a google search, I ended up here looking at your 'mod', which I must say looks pretty nice :)

What I would like to know is how do I get to this point: http://www.metku.net/mods/loginoki/parts.jpg ie: get the mouse open? As I cannot find any screw holes, or entry points.

Thank you.

I thought that, but they don't seem to be. I've removed the teflon and theres like a black 'felt' type of material underneath. I shall have a prod around there tomorrow (where's my hammer !? :) )

Thanks for replying, hopefully I shall find them. I shall keep my eye on this topic\forum for guidance.

Just feel around with a screwdriver head and you'll notice where there are holes underneath that black layer. If I remember correctly, there is a screw under that printed label also.

I have a logitech Mx700 wireless and i cant find the screws anywhere
i try to remove the felton thing and theres nothing
however i found a screw under the bateries.
Im going to try to open it when i get time

---------------------------

I made it
there were 2 screws
1 under the batteries and another under the "info paper thing"
Its marked with an X so you can unscrew it without damage the mouse "info paper thing"

I really don't remember how many screws there were. I noticed that it is easiest to open while pushing the cord towards the table and pull from the top cover. It might require certain amounts of power but if you feel that you will be pulling some parts broken, see if you can spot what corner is not moving. That would be an indication that there is a hidden screw.

Open the screws you find. Then place the mouse on the table top like you would normally place it when using it. Then take your thumb and place it over the USB cable where it exits the mouse. Now take your other hand and try to pull the top part off.
