do anyone know where i can get 5v fans, they cant be to big cause they have to fit into my Microsoft IntelliEye (Exact like the one from the "Chromed Mouse" project). I live in Denmark so that would be the best, but web pages from other places is just fine.

Well, if you have a 12V fan, then a resistor wont give you extra 7V...

If you are going to put that fan in your mouse, find a 12V fan, 4cm sized.
Then just plug it in your mouse and take the power from there, those 12V 4cm fans usually start working straight away from 5V... So no need for extra electronics...

well the point of the mouse fan mod is to keep your HAND cool, not the mouse its self. I mean think about it....what in there really needs extra cooling. With that in mind, your hand sits RIGHT on top of the fan. So you really dont need a big buff little fan. All you need is something that can move air. With this in mind, any fan will do, as long as it can fit in the mouse. Voltage shouldnt be an issue, cause i have yet to see a computer fan that DOESNT spin with only 5 volts.

I used a 5v 1-inch-square 3-CFM fan from hosfelt.com (SUNON #KD0502PFS3, HOSFELT #26-458).
