Ok,

I was just checking the spots on my mouse where I can find 5v and every now and then i would check to make sure the mouse is still working. Well when i went to check it didnt work. The computer recongized it as a USB mouse and installed the new driver but the arrow didnt move. I dont know if i short circuited something or wat. BTW i never soldered anything it was all temperary. Any ideas?

:?

It is hard to say what have happened. Reboot/restart the machine and see if the mouse comes to life.

don't exclude the possibibity that

-there was a poorly soldered point on the circut board.

-that you pushed a lead over and are shorting somthing out (I had a problem simular to this, when I closed my mouse up, a lead from the LED was pressing across the leads of one of the main chips and I only got vertical mouse movement)

When i installed my LED it worked and the mouse worked, i kept checking it and it still worked, when i turned my computer on the next time the mouse would not respond. I restarted and still had no luck, i have tried other mouses and they have all been the same. Can someone please help me because i am now forced to only use my keyboard!
