 Post subject: Help please

i tried to make this mod without any on/off switch nor resistors..
it al worked fine for about 1min , then suddenly they just stopped working :? i checked the cables and their OK ..
any ideas?

well. considering that you said ya didnt use resistors, i would say that the led got overpowered and fried. chek the led it self and see if the top of the metal inside the glass stuff is blackened. if so that means that ya fried the led.

Leds dont always look burnt when they go bad. Just thought i would add that.

well when they get overpowered to the point that they dont light up they look burnt. well the little light emitting part in the middle does. atleast they do for me. also, going bad and being overpowered is 2 different things. ive had leds just stop working. but then ive also touched leds to a 9v battery.

yea, you either powered them with 5,7, or 12 V and it most likely fried the led......just use a resistor

bleh.. i bought 2 LEDs and 2 resistors.
Cables and everything is OK , but it still doesnt work :oops:
ill give up :roll:
