Starting with the fridge

For the refridgerator I bought this portable heater/cooler bag. You can get these for 10 euros or something like that and as always, it pays off to be bit creative on where to try to find the parts. I could have bought a peltier unit separately but with this I got a nice cable with a car cigaret lighter plug, a peltier element with all the electronics to drive it, an aluminum cooler profile and a fan and finally a FM radio to keep me entertained during the build.

The peltier has two sides to it; one gets cold while the other side gets hot. One can change the sides by changing the polarity of the current. This is why the circuit board has that switch that we see in the photo.

The "hot side" of the unit has to be mounted outside of the phone. This so that the fan can cool the aluminum block down. Here I have marked down the position on where the cooler will be located.

The aluminum cooler that will radiate the heat generated by the peltier is now sitting outside.

Not the prettiest cut but it will be covered later on by some metal. There was a hole on the side panel already that I used to route the pelrier's power wires to inside of the Talkman. Top most connector is the original power connector that the phone had. I will be saving it and use it to power up our creation later on.
