As a comparison I decided to use a Kingston DataTraveler. The DataTraveler presents a basic USB stick that can be found in most stores and is popular amongst people. The S805 is exactly the same thickness as is the DT. When the swivel is closed, it's shorter than the Kingston. When closed, the dimensions of the A-data are 61,7 x 19 x 9,3 (L x W x H) millimeters. Because of the alloy shell, it weights 25 grams, which is a bit heavier than the plastic Kingston.
Performance
Performance is the make or break for memory sticks. Slow drives can be a pain and for many times I've been waiting for a slow file transfer, when I'm in a hurry. Again, the comparison point is the Kingston DataTraveler.

As we can see, the A-data is clearly faster. The Kingston's speed can be used as a base line for basic thumb drives in the market from a famous manufacturer. The A-data's burst speed is 1,6 times faster and the access time is 5,6 times quicker. Also the average speed is 1,4 x faster and it utilizes the CPU 4% less. With a 4 gigabyte file, the difference is already over a minute. With these results, I'll be switching my trusty DataTraveler to the S805 in my daily use.
