3DMark Vantage
3DMark is a computer benchmark suite by Futuremark Corporation designed to determine the DirectX performance of graphics cards. The full range of 3DMark products ranges are 3DMark99, 3Dmark99 MAX, 3DMark2000, 3DMark2001, 3Dmark2001 SE, 3DMark03, 3DMark05, 3DMark06 and 3DMark Vantage. Every new edition of 3DMark uses the latest in 3D technology to deliver objective and forward-looking measurements for real world performance.

In the newest 3dmark both setups score very close to each other, with the 965BE taking the first place in the CPU-marks by a margin of just six percent. When overclocked the performance seems to scale really nicely, and with the chip at 4 GHz the difference to 3,4 GHz stock speed is about 18%.
3DMark05
Also the older 3dmark05 was still ran, as it nowadays acts as more of a platform-benchmark than a graphical one.

In the old 3dmark the differences grow even greater and the Q9450 is really left behind. Here it's worth pointing out that the AMD-platform features the latest and greatest in chipsets as well as faster DDR3-memories, which explains some part of the difference, but overall it's really starting to look like the 965BE is far superior to the Q9450. Overclocking doesn't bring such a huge boost this time around, but an improvement of close to 9% is still worth mentioning.
