X3: Terran Conflict
The X3: Terran Conflict is freely available for download and comes with a built-in benchmark which everyone can run on their setups.

Lets move on to the real-life gaming tests. Again it's more of the same and the difference is very clear at 10 FPS. Overclocking also brings a nice boost of yet another six frames per second.
Cinebench R10
Maxon Cinebench R10 is a benchmark utility based on Maxon's Cinema 4D animation software. The test comes in single- and multi-thread varieties and the multi-thread xCPU-test was used for our benchmarking.

Starting to see a pattern here, in Cinebench the Q9450 loses by 15 seconds, or around 25%. The Cinebench is all about raw processing power and the overclock of about 18% shortens the benchmark time by 17%.
wPrime 32M
"wPrime is a benchmarking application designed to use a highly multithreaded approach to calculating the square-roots of large amounts of numbers (up to 32 billion at this stage!)"

More multi-threaded benchmarking ahoy and the Q9450 is really left behind once again. This time around the difference comes close to 40%.
