Pov-Ray is a freeware ray-tracing software for rendering images with highly realistic lighting. The stock benchmark file was used.
At 25% the difference between the 965BE and the Q9450 is huge. Overclocking, once again, shaves another 17,5% off the Phenom's time. Differences like this all across the board really make the easy overclocking worthwhile.
Photoshop CS4
In our in-house Photoshop test we resized an ran the CS4 reduce noise-filter on a batch of pictures.
In this real-life test the difference between the overclocked and stock 3,4 GHz 965BE was about 16%.
