Installation
Apart from one of the coolers coming with two fans, the installation process of both coolers is absolutely identical, so we’re only going to look at the installation of the 920-model.

The first step is to find the correct mounting hardware for the socket in question. We used the same LGA1156-based setup as before, so the required parts include a universal back plate, metal bracket, four pieces of plastic to get the bracket aligned and finally four screws and nuts. There are also some pads of double-sided tape, but being a test bed with constantly changing cooler I opted not to use these.

The second step is to get all the pieces in the right order and mount get the installation bracket in place. At this stage only tighten the screws enough to keep the back plate in place.

The final step of installing the coolers to an open test bench is to drop the block/pump-unit in place, twist it slightly to get the claws in place and then tighten the mounting screws. Despite the rather high number of individual bits included in the installation it’s still a straight forward process and shouldn’t take too long even in a more crowded case.
