LanBoy Air - outside views

Out of the box and the Air really is something special. The overall look of the case is extremely industrial and an ultimate example of love or hate looks. If you look past the styling, there's a rather normal gaming case layout underneath. At the front are 5,25" drive bays and two fans like you'd expect.

Looking at the left side panel one can see that it opens in two parts. The left part covers the power supply and motherboard area, and behind the right one there are the drive cages. The left part is shaped to look like it might remove in multiple parts, but really it's just a single panel.

The large panel is removed by unscrewing six thumb screws and doing so reveals the two 120 mm side fans that are designed to blow air over the graphic card area. Above these two fans there's also room for two additional ones. Overall there are mounting holes for 15 120 mm fans, which must be a record.

To go with the modular design the right side of the case looks exactly the same. The internals can be tweaked so that the motherboard faces this side, so there are identical mounting holes for fans on this side panel as well.

Looking at the front we can see a modular design of nine 5,25" drive bays, six of which are used for the two 120 mm fan mounts. These can ofcourse be moved around to any arrangement imaginable. At the top there are the power- and reset switches as well as the fron I/O featuring two USB2.0 ports, a single USB3.0 port and the audio jacks.
