Heaven

Club3D GTX 550 Ti - CoolStream OC Edition

With the results of the Unigine Heaven arranged according to the more demanding DX11 run the results are rather surprising, due to the heavy tessellation the overclocked GTX 550 Ti actually comes second, leaving also the HD6850 and HD5850 behind. At stock speed and in the DX9 setting it's again a close call between it and the HD5770.

Crysis

Crysis Warhead and there's barely any difference between the GTX 550 and HD5770, with the GTX 550 being slightly ahead at all settings. Overclocking boosts the results by about 10%, but even at the higher clock speeds the average frame rates aren't playable at high settings. Despite its age the Crysis Warhead still remains too demanding for there lower mid-range cards.

Stalker

Club3D GTX 550 Ti - CoolStream OC Edition

Another very demanding title and again the GTX 550 and HD5770 score virtually the same frame rates. The AMD card is a bit faster in the less demanding runs, but it's the GTX 550 Ti that scores best in the most demanding run.

Far Cry 2

Club3D GTX 550 Ti - CoolStream OC Edition

Far Cry 2 wraps up the performance tests, and is also the first test to show a clear difference between the GTX 550 Ti and the HD5770. The game is heavily optimized for Nvidia cards, so here the difference is around 30%, a whopping difference considering how closely matched the cards are on all the other tests. As a conclusion of the performance it's fair to say that unless it's Far Cry 2 you're playing, choosing between these two cards based on the performance is impossible.
