Mechanical Keys

The most of the K90’s switches are Cherry MX Red Mechanical, which have 2mm to actuation and 4mm to bottom with actuation force of 45g. These switches are similar as in previously reviewed QPAD MK-85 and MK-50. Cherry MX Red is designed especially for fast, efficient gaming because of its light actuation force and linearity.

Some of the K90’s switches are silicon dome instead of mechanical. The keys that use silicon dome switches are F1-F12, Esc, PrtScn, Scroll Lock, Pause/Break, Insert, Home, Page Up, Page Down, Delete, End and macro keys.

Wrist rest

The wrist rest is covered with soft-touch material which makes it feel comfort against your hands. The wrist rest is mounted with two screws and four plastic clamps, so the mounting is very durable and sturdy.
