Team Fortress 2

Team Fortress® 2 (TF2) is the sequel to the game that put class-based, multiplayer team warfare on the map. This year.s most anticipated online action game, TF2 delivers new gametypes, a signature art style powered by Valve.s next generation animation technology, persistent player statistics, and more.

TF2 features the most advanced graphics of any Source-based game released to date . and the most exciting class-based action ever created.

Team Fortress was used as an benchmark by playing back a recorded timedemo, and recording the fps with Fraps. The test was run by repeating a 5 minute run three times and by taking the average of those runs.

As you can see this benchmark was completely bottlenecked at higher resolutions at the GPU. All the different memory and CPU speeds scored pretty much the same. The only exception is the 1 fps that the Corsair kit gained at the highest speed.

Moving to the lower resolutions and settings we start to see some differences in the scores. This time the performance crown at 1600 MHz was taken by the Patriot kit, with the G.Skill and CSX kits following the Patriot kit within 1 fps. The Crucial and Corsair kits were a little bit farther back.

3DMark 2001 SE

As one of the first 3DMark benchmark versions, it gives us a possibility to see the effects of the CPU and memory easier than the newer benchmarks that are often GPU stricken.

The competition is once again nice and even at 1600 MHz with the exception of the Patriot and CSX kits which score a tad lower than the rest. When moving to 1800 MHz the CSX kit gets its revenge by beating the other kits with a nice margin. This time the G.Skill kit mysteriously lags a little bit behind. At 2000 MHz the Patriot kit once again beats its competition with the Crucial and CSX kits following closely.
