SuomeksiHeaven benchmark
We're currently in the progress of refreshing both the hardware of our test bed as well as the software, which already caused some changes to this particular review. The Heaven benchmark is DX11 test which makes heavy use of the tessellation properties of the new generation of graphic cards. That said, with the bench still running Vista we're stuck in DX10.
In the Heaven benchmark it's a close call again with the HD5850 winning the 0xAA 4xAF run, and the GTX 470 winning the more demanding 8xAA 16xAF test. This is in fact the only real difference we've seen so far, across all the tests the GTX 470 seems to perform slightly better at high AA and AF settings.
Stalker: Call of Pripyat
Call of Pripyat benchmark is the other new comer in our graphic card test routine. This is another DX11 benchmark that was ran in DX10 due to the Windows Vista.
The last test this time is the STALKER: Call of Pripyat benchmark, and again the GTX 470 leads the way, leaving the HD5850 behind by about 10%.
