Gigabyte GV-R485OC-1GH
Package
Unlike the other cards in this roundup, the Gigabyte card was delivered without the retail box and bundle. This means we don't know what the bundle includes.

Just like Sapphire, Gigabyte uses a non-reference PCB on their HD4850-card. The PCB actually looks a bit like Sapphires, but the GPU is located slightly differently on the PCB. Being the only 1 GB card in this roundup, it's going to be interesting to see if this extra memory has any effect on the performance. The GPU is clocked at 700 MHz which surpasses the reference clocks by a large margin. The memory on other hand is clocked at 1980 MHz which is a few MHz lower than what we see in the reference cards.

Zalman seems to be a favorite among the manufacturers as, this time the Zalman VF-800 cooler is used. The memory chips and power circuitry have no heatsinks to help dissipate the heat.
Overclocking
Even if this card had the highest clocked on the core to begin with, it overclocked nicely to 750 MHz and the memories to 1140 MHz. The achieved memory clocks were a nice surprise as they don't have any additional cooling.
