HL2 : EP2
Half-Life® 2: Episode Two is the second in a trilogy of new games created by Valve that extends the award-winning and best-selling Half-Life® adventure.
As Dr. Gordon Freeman, you were last seen exiting City 17 with Alyx Vance as the Citadel erupted amidst a storm of unknown proportions. In Episode Two, you must battle and race against Combine forces as you traverse the White Forest to deliver a crucial information packet stolen from the Citadel to an enclave of fellow resistance scientists.
Episode Two extends the award-winning Half-Life gameplay with unique weapons, vehicles, and newly-spawned creatures.

With no AF and AA, we have an extremely tight competition between the contestants. Once again the Gainward card manages to beat the others. The 8800GTX doesn't do badly either, but its left last on both resolutions. Still not bad for an old card. Once again the HD4870 beats all others with a large margin.

After adding 16x AA and 16x AF from the drivers the differences get slightly larger. Once again the Gainward card takes the honors on both resolutions as Sapphire follows closely. Palit slightly overtakes the Gigabyte card for third place. This time however the old 8800GTX shows its claws, as it posts the best average fps on the lower resolution, even when compared with the HD4870. The 8800GTX and the HD4870 are much faster than the HD4850 cards this time.
Call Of Duty 4
Call of Duty 4 is one of the few recent games that are still DirectX9 only. Despite this it still manages to look realistic and also fits well to testing purposes. Results were gathered with some help from Fraps.

The old pattern is visible once again. Gainward is the fastest with Sapphire following it closely. Gigabyte and Palit battle it out for third place. The 8800GTX slightly edges out the HD4850-cards and the HD4870 is faster once again by a good margin.

After increasing the resolution, the differences become larger. The Palit card overtakes Gigabytes card, but Gainward and Sapphire keep their respective places. The 8800GTX increases its margin in front of the HD4850 pack and the HD4870 is clearly in front of them all.
