Benchmarks
All the benchmarks were run with the same setup. The processor was overclocked to 4.05GHz just to make sure that the CPU isn't the bottleneck on the benchmarks. One must remember that the results that we achieved cannot be directly compared to other systems and the achieved overclocks depend greatly on the card. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I'm still working on rerunning some of the benchmarks on the newer drivers, this card is going to be compared with results that were gotten with older drivers. Some of the results may be a little bit different with the newest drivers, but the differences aren't that drastic in most cases.
Hardware used for the benchmarks:- Processor: Intel Core 2 E8500 (9 x 450 MHz)
- Motherboard: Foxconn Black Ops (Intel X48)
- Memory: 2 * 1 GB Patriot 1800LLK (1800 MHz 7-7-7-20)
- Video: Being tested....
- Sound: Onboard Audio
- Storage: Western Digital 200 GB
- Power Supply: Xigmatek NRP-HC1201
- Chassis: Antec Skeleton (Modded)
- Cooling: Corsair Nautilus (Modded)
- Operating System: Windows Vista Ultimate x64 SP1
3DMark06

As this was the first new generation Radeon, which we've tested, we were anxious to see how well this $160 card does against the older, more expensive contestants. Sure enough, the HD5770 manages to beat the older 512MB HD4870 card, but it didn't come that close to the 285GTX as originally hoped. Still not bad for a cheap card like this.
