• Hard drive: Seagate 7200.10 250 GB
• Power supply: Xigmatek NRP-HC1201
• Case: Open air test bench

For performance testing we used the same 4 GHz i7 870 rig as before. Unfortunately we currently don't have the comparable Nvidia cards, so instead of having competition from the green camp, we put the HD68-series cards against a range of cards from the older HD57- and HD58-series cards.

3DMark11

We ran both the Performance- and Extreme presets of this newest reincarnation of the Futuremark 3Dmark. The results are arranged according to the score of the more demanding Extreme preset.

The Barts crossfires score the highest results in both tests, with the last generation HD5870 being the fastest single card solution. After that it's the HD6870, HD5850 and finally the HD6850's. As stock the IceQ X version 6850 is 5,5% faster than the stock speed HD6850, and overclocking boosted its result by another 8%.

3DMark Vantage

Older 3Dmark and this time we only ran the High-preset. This time the results are very similar, with the expection that this test was also ran with GTX 470 and HD5770 CFX cards. In the results the HD6870 is dead even with the GTX470 and the 5770 Crossfire squeezes juast past the overclocked HD6870. The HD6850's are again arranged according to the clock speeds used, and the HD5770 is left last with a nice margin.
