CM Inferno vs. QPAD 5K
Two very capable gaming mice

Size Comparison

For shape comparison we lined the 5K and Inferno against the earlier reviewed Mionix Naos 5000. The
Mionix is very close to perfect for my hand, so it acts as the benchmark in comfort here. The Qpad shares
pretty much the same shape with the Naos, but is a bit taller and longer. The Inferno is much more
traditionally shaped mouse than the other two here, and also the smallest.

Looking from the top one can see that the side humps of the 5K are a bit sharper and wider than on the
Naos. The differences seem very small, but in use it's very easy to notice the differences. While the 5K
fits my hand great as well, I still do find the Mionix' slightly lower profile and smoother finger rest more
pleasing in long use. Again the Inferno stands out from the other two, but it's worth noticing that while it
seems smaller than the others, it still is very wide and tall at the back, which means it still may not feel
too comfortable to people with smaller hands.
In Use
Both mice were put through their paces in normal all-round use including photo editing, surfing and
ofcourse gaming. Neither ever skipped a beat during the testing, and in that sense everything is OK. In
longer game sessions the Qpad fit my hand much better, the rear of the Inferno is just too wide for my
liking. That said, the Qpad is a bit higher than I would prefer, which meant it didn't feel spot on either.
The shape of the mouse is always a personal preference, but this just goes to high light just how important
it is to try the mouse before buying.
