Mech5

Out of the box the keyboard sure is a striking thing to look at. When it comes to the looks I'd say it's right up there with the Cyborg R.A.T-mice in terms of going to the extreme with "gaming looks". The keyboard area itself looks very much standard, although on the left hand side there are five dedicated macro keys and at the top-right corner there's a volume adjuster knob.

The detachable numpad can be installed to either end of the keyboard. The numpad comes with an USB-connector on each side and is simply snapped into place and then locked with the "wing" seen on top in this picture. There are two plastic clips that hold the numpad in place firmly enough.

For extra connectivity there are two USB-ports at the top-right corner of the keyboard. One of these gets used by the modular macro-keypad, but the other is left free for the use of your choice. The keyboard itself has two USB-plugs so these ports should deliver enough power for just about any USB-device.

On the bottom there's the model sticker, rubber feet and a total of three plastic risers that can be used to lift the rear edge up. In fact there are two settings for the tilt, which is always nice.
