The Azio's web page made us download a driver version that actually says Mech4 on the top right corner, but that didn't stop it from working just fine with the mech5. The program itself is "gaming-themed", although not quite as aggressively as the keyboard itself.
For functionality the program packs the ability to choose the desired function of each key, not just the macro buttons. The available functions are a normal key press of any key, running a program, playing and stopping a macro and saying a string (essentially a simple macro that just types something on the screen). When a special function is set, the key shows up in orange.
The software also lets you create, save and load multiple different profiles, so you really get endless macro keys which can be individually set for every game you play.
