Microsoft Sidewinder X4 Gaming Keyboard
Gaming keyboard with style in mind

In Use
And then to the main thing - how does it feel in use? As I said, I've been using the
Logitech G15 Rev2 for a couple of years now and that, as a very popular gaming keyboard, acts
as a benchmark of sorts here. Compared to that the keys and travel on the X4 are lower. It's
not really a flat keyboard, but more like the Roccat Arvo we tested a while back. To me the
touch is very close to perfect, as I neither like the ultra flat laptop-like keyboard, nor the
old-school models with high profile. That said, just like the mice, I can only say this suits
my liking very well, and you should try to test the keyboard before purchase.
Another notes from the use are the lack of wrist support, which I found annoying at first.
Again more than anything else it's just a personal preference, but I think supplying a
detachable wrist rest wouldn't hurt anyone or bump up the price too much. Unfortunately the
overall feel of the keyboard isn't really up to the Roccat Arvo either. I gave the Arvo credit
for being simple, sturdy and having a quality feel. I just feel like the material choices and
build quality of the X4 aren't quite at the level of the Arvo.
