The Design

The GS-501 really catches your eyes with its mix of colors and flashy tribals. The mouse has a shiny black top with 2 large fire tribals that cover the left and right buttons of the mouse. The sides of the mouse are a shiny gray with a darker gray rubber insert. The newer GS-502 still has the large tribals but the sides are black. I can't say that I'm a big fan of the tribals, but they might appeal to some other people.

The bottom of the mouse has 4 fairly large glides and the lid for the weight management system. Nothing new...
When you plug in the mouse, you get treated by a lightshow that I personally have never seen on a mouse. Seriously, it almost looks like this mouse was stolen from Vegas. The MSI-logo on the back fades from color to color, the led that is in front of the mode switch button fades the color of the mode back and forth, and the scroll wheel of the mouse indicates the DPI-level that the mouse is using. You really have to see this to believe it.
Video - The lights
I personally would've left the lightshow in Vegas, but there might be people that would consider the fading lights cool.
