NZXT Panzerbox Case Review

The rear panel reveals why the case is so wide - the power supply gets mounted next to the motherboard, rather than on top or under it. Like with the Rogue, the motherboard tray is removable and comes off by removing five thumb screws. Right at the top of the panel one can also see two holes for water cooling hoses.

Nothing special at the bottom, just four rubber feet and a slight X-pattern adding some rigidity to the base.

To give you a better idea of the dimensions, here's the Panzerbox side by side with the Xigmatek Midgard chassis. The Midgard is what I'd call a normal sized mid-tower case. The Panzer box isn't much shorter, but when looking at it alone, the added width easily fools your eye.

Due to the special PSU placement, also the internal layout looks out of ordinary. The 5,25" cages are on their normal place, and under those there's room for two 3,5" hard drives. At the bottom, right next to the 190 mm intake fan, there's also a removable drive cage for two more hard drives.

On the rear side there's the removable motherboard tray, but not much else to see. Less surprisingly there aren't too many holes for cable management due to the PSU placement and the fact that holes or cable ties on the motherboard tray would pretty effectively ruin the point of having it easily removable.
