Phanteks PH-TC14PE

The PH-TC14PE is rather unique as it comes in four color choices. The color scheme not only means anodization on the aluminum parts of the cooler, either, as also the fans are color-coded. This, combined with the impressive size and nice build quality with the coolers makes the PH-TC14PE one of the nicest looking coolers on the market.
Design

Pretty colors aside, lets have a look at the actual design of the heatsink - it's a dual tower cooler with room for three 140 mm fans. This sound like the recipe of the very popular NH-D14 we reviewed not too long ago, but there are also differences. First of all the Phanteks cooler uses five 8 mm heatpipes, and both sets of fins are actually split in half and welded to the heatpipes. Here one can also see how the fins are finished with the patented P.A.T.S thermal shield, which gives them a matte finish.
Base

The copper base is nickel plated and very smooth. It isn't quite a mirror finish, but very flat and smooth nonetheless.
Fans

While the bundle has mounting clips for three fans, the cooler only comes with two. The model of these two fans is PH-F140TS, and as said earlier, they also come in the four color combinations and have their blades painted to match the heatsink color. At full speed these fans run at 1200 RPM, generating 78,1 CFM of airflow and 19 dBA of noise, but with the supplied adapter it's possible to run them at 900 RPM, which reduces the airflow and noise to 60,1 CFM and 15,2 dBA.
