Software

First time the driver is launched, it checks for firmware updates for the mouse. This makes sure you always have the latest firmware on the mouse and removes any possible software problems.

On the main view there are the usual controls for sensitivity, scroll speed for up/down as well as sideways scrolling, double click speed and ofcourse the five individual DPI-settings. On the bottom of the screen there are the five profiles which allow you to have different settings for different games or programs.

Button assignment tab allows you to change the functions and macros for the keys. The Easyshift feature enables one to have a total of 23 buttons in use, but unfortunately the feature can only be assigned to one of the thumb buttons.

The glossy black strips that run on the mouse are back-lit and the system is so fancy there's a special tab just for controlling the lights. One can choose the colors for each of the four leds, as well as the light effect and how the colors change.

On advanced settings-tab there are options for individually tweaking the X- and Y-axis sensitivity, setting the polling rate, lift distance and also pointed speed. Beside these adjustments there's also a Tracking Control Unit, which checks the mouse pad surface quality, driver reset for returning to default settings, and a rather intriguing Sound Feedback-feature which makes the mouse effectively say what button you've just pressed. The feature can tell the DPI and profile in use, and while it's hilarious for a short while, it hardly adds any real value to the product.

The last tab shows the current firmware and driver versions and has links to driver download and support pages.
