In Use

As usual, we put the mouse through its paces in a fast paced first person shooter, as well as careful photoshopping and also just regular everyday use. Through all the testing the Kone+ tracks excellently, but because of the shape and size, there was always the feeling that the use could be so much more comfortable.

During the couple of weeks of use the Roccat logo on the back of the mouse started peeling off. This is an unfortunate quality issue for such a premium mouse, and we really hope it was just a flaw with our test sample.
Conclusion
The Roccat Kone+ is an updated version of the original Kone, so it already has made a name for itself on the market. The upgrade brings the model back to the top of the game, with its 6000 DPI sensor and some other tweaks. In use the mouse is just as sturdy as you'd expect from a premium mouse, and also tracks very well. Anyway, even more than with most mice, we were left with a feeling that you better try the Kone+ before purchasing one. It's a large mouse and the shape is a bit different from the rest, so you really might be in for a surprise. Another downside was the paint on the logo that started peeling off after just a short while of active use. |
