External looks

The SG03 is almost entirely made of aluminum and it really shows, especially the front panel looks and feels just so much more classy than the generic plastic ones. There are large ventilation holes in the front and the left side panel of the case and the single 5,25" bay is located to the top of the front panel. The sleek and stylish finish is completed with a power button placed on the top of the case.

In comparison to the P180 Mini we reviewed earlier, the SG03 really looks out of place. Keeping in mind that the cases can handle similar hardware so the size difference is huge. The P180 Mini is designed to be quiet so some of its design features explain the size difference.

On both sides of the front panel there are thick aluminum doors. The one on the left hides the front panel connections (two USBs, firewire, microphone and headphone) and an external 3,5" drive bay and the one on the right covers a small reset button and the normal HDD and power leds. The leds are placed so they shine through a small hole on the front panel and aren't too bright.
The small doors are held close with magnets and the touch of the thick aluminum is really classy. Most of the front panel is covered with mesh that acts as the main air intake of the case and on the top of the front panel there's a single 5,25" drive bay.
